Brazil Seeks to Extend Winning Streak with Qualifier Against Colombia

INTERNATIONAL: Brazil's national soccer team stepped up training in Sao Paulo on Tuesday, ahead of their next World Cup qualifying match against Colombia. Coach Tite has mixed experienced and new players in his team, with Lyon's Lucas Paqueta telling media he has learnt a lot from star Neymar.

Brazilian Soccer player Lucas Pacqueta says that he is very happy at the moment in Lyon, especially being with the team. He says that it has been his dream to wear the shirt and to win in his team describing it as a unique experience.

He says, "As for the partnership with Neymar, we understand each other very well on the pitch. Off the pitch he has helped me a lot. He has given me a lot of support to bring out my best in soccer, to help not only him but all my teammates. What we have in common is the pleasure of wearing the shirt for the Brazilian national team, the desire to win games and achieve great things.”

Brazil goes into Thursday's match the clear favourite. The superstar side was unbeaten in its first 11 qualifiers. So far in the qualifiers Colombia has three wins, seven draws and two losses.
